How to install spring pins?
- The simplest method of installing spring pins is to use a hammer. Just align the coiled pin to the hole manually and simply hammer the pin into the hole just like a nail. Drive the pin to the desired insertion depth without damaging the host.
- These spring pins can also be installed manually with an air hammer or a press by using a pin driving chuck. Secure the pin driving chuck into the air hammer or press and insert the pin manually into the driver end. Place the exposed end of the pin into the hole and complete the installation by actuating the air gun or advancing the press handle.
- Another way of installing spring pins is to use an automatic pin inserter. Simply load the assembly onto the fixture, activate the machine for inserting the pin and remove the assembly from the fixture. The supply of pins in the feeder bowl should be replenished periodically.

- Grab a pair of pliers and make sure that the pin is protruding from the assembly.
