Air operated diaphragm pumps are designed to pump thick slurries & solid-laden liquids in applications such as dewatering and mining. Standard-duty Sandpiper air-diaphragm pumps are ideal for dewatering & pumping slurries, solvents, abrasive fluids, weak acids & suspended solids in petrochemical and food processing plants. These pumps are designed to operate on a continuous supply of compressed air and feature aluminium / cast iron / stainless steel / non-metallic construction to ensure structural rigidity. The brand's self-priming double-diaphragm pumps feature ball check valves for withstanding consistent fluid flow and connecting rods for reliable & consistent diaphragm control. These all-bolted, shear-sensitive air diaphragm pumps are offered in flange and NPT connection styles. Air-operated double-diaphragm pumps from Versa-Matic are ideal for easy & safe transport of chemicals & other fluids. These diaphragm pumps feature leak-free bolted construction for superior chemical resistance, with multi-position foot mounts & multiple ported manifolds offering installation flexibility. They can withstand temperatures up to 275 degrees F and have operating pressures ranging between 100 & 125 psi. Working Mechanism
- These air operated diaphragm pumps separate the liquid chamber from the air chamber within the pump.
- Inlet and outlet air valves control the flow of compressed air into the air chamber of the pump. When the pump is at rest, both diaphragms are in a relaxed state, and the inlet valve is open while the outlet valve is closed.
