Product Details:
- Palmetto Packing CHEKSEAL 981 is a shaft-mounted, self-adjusting axial lip seal widely used in axles, bearings and swivel joints to deflect contaminants and avoid lubricant loss.
- It features a flexible hinged lip that seals axially against a radial face and does not require any special machining to tightly fit the shaft.
- This easy-to-install lip seal is made from highly resilient nitrile rubber & can be easily stretched over shaft obstructions. The natural tension of the rubber helps the seal securely hold its place while the shaft turns.
- It can automatically vent excess grease during regreasing and operates effectively at temperatures ranging from -20 to 225 degrees F.
