Marathon fan / heat motors are used in fans, blowers, air conditioners, pumps, heaters and compressors. These single-phase motors offer a rotational speed of up to 1625 rpm at 60 hz.

Features

  • They come equipped with thermal protectors that are sensitive to temperature rise and protect the motor against overheating due to overload. These protectors can automatically reset after the motor has completely cooled.
  • They feature an external slinger to keep the bearings protected from moisture and contaminants.
  • Models, such as 048A17T96, come with a TEAO (Totally Enclosed Air Over) enclosure installed in the airstream where the air movement generated by the fan passes over the motor to cool it.
