Working Mechanism
- The valve is factory set to a specific pressure beyond which the valve will activate.
- As the system operates, pressure may rise due to heating or other factors. Once the pressure reaches or exceeds the preset value, the valve comes into play.
- The pressure exerts force on the bronze disc, pushing it against the valve seat with a force proportional to the pressure inside the system.
- When the force from the pressure exceeds the force exerted by the spring holding the disc against the seat, the disc lifts off the seat.
- With the disc lifts, excess pressure is allowed to escape through the valve's outlet.
- As pressure is released, the force on the disc decreases. When the pressure inside the system drops below the preset value, the spring pushes the disc back onto the seat, closing the valve.
