What standards do weld nuts comply with?
There are two types of weld nuts - structural & non-structural. Structural nuts are typically heat-treated, so welding them could use a loss of strength. They comply with A563 Grade C, C3, DH & DH3, A194 Grade 2H, and SAE J995 Grade 5 & 8 standards. Non-structural weld nuts comply with A563 Grade A & SAE J995 Grade 2 standards.
Is welding better than bolting?
