Electric Hook Mounted Chain Hoists, 15 Feet Lift
Dayton 15 ft. electric chain hoists are ideal for faster lifting / lowering of loads with the help of drums wrapped with chains. These 15 feet hoists have an electric motor and pendant controller for lifting / lowering and accelerating / decelerating the hoist speed. These electric hoists provide thermal protection and are installed on a steel-rolled beam. They are integrated with electromagnetic brakes, thereby preventing the fall of load while lifting. Choose from a broad range of these electric chain hoists, available in 300, 500, 800, 1000, 2000 and 4000 lb load capacities.

Electric Chain Hoists, Red, Load Brake
Dayton electric chain hoists include chain drums and use electricity to facilitate the process of lifting loads up to 10 feet. These hoists utilise a hoist motor to lift the loads to desired height and set frequency, based on the weight lifting capacity of the units. Integrated brake system ensures safe rotation of the chain for lifting / lowering or moving loads from one location to another. Electric Chain Hoists, 20 Feet Lift, Hook Mounted
Dayton 20 ft. lift electric chain hoists suitable for applications requiring more frequent and faster lifting as compared to manual hoists. They are ideal for applications in industrial production lines, small machine shops and more. All units feature push button pendant control for easy lifting / lowering operations & accelerating / decelerating the hoist speed. They utilize trolleys (sold separately) that enable the hoists to move on a track. These electric hoists provide true vertical lift and are available in load capacities ranging from 300 to 4000 lb.

Features
- These hoists have a factory-calibrated overload limiting clutch that allows the lifting of loads within its rated capacity but prevents the lifting of damaging overload while the hoist is in use.
- These units use an electric motor and controller to raise, lower, accelerate or decelerate the hoist's speed.
- H2 hoists are ideal for light fabrication, service and maintenance in machine shops.
- H3 hoists are ideal for general fabrication, assembly, storage and warehousing in machine shops.
- H4 hoists are ideal for high-volume handling in steel warehouses, machine shops, manufacturing plants, mills and foundries. They are also suitable for heat treating and plating operations that require manual or automatic cycling.
Working Mechanism
- Dayton electric chain hoists use an induction motor and a brake to keep the load in place while lifting (allowing the safe lifting of heavy objects / loads).
- The motor transforms electrical energy into mechanical energy, allowing the load / weight to be lifted.
Standards and Approvals
- cUL
- NEMA
- ASME / ANSI B30.16
Frequently Asked Questions
What points should be kept in mind while installing Dayton electric chain hoists?
- Check that all supporting structures and load attaching devices are strong enough to support the loads you intend to use. If in doubt, seek the advice of a qualified structural engineer.
- The hoist should be powered by a 115V, single-phase, 60Hz motor. The voltage can fall within a 10% tolerance of 115V.
- The hoist has a three-prong grounding plug. Check that it is connected to a properly grounded and installed receptacle.
- The installation area must provide the operator with enough space for personnel to stand clear of the load at all times.
- A chain container is recommended for installations where the slack chain hanging from the unit may be hazardous.
- Check that the hook latch is closed after hanging the hoist.
How to install chain container assembly?
- Remove the suspension frame's screw, nut and washer.
- Install the chain container bracket flush to the suspension frame. Place the chain in the chain container. The screw, washer and nut must be replaced. Tighten firmly.
- Lower the load hook to its lowest point. Place the chain's slack end in a chain container.
- Feed the remaining chain into the container by operating the hoist to the top limit in the UP direction. This allows the chain to pile freely and eliminates the possibility of fouling that might occur if the chain is manually placed in the container.
How to choose a reliable electric chain hoist?
- Load weight.
- Lifting speed: It must be calibrated to ensure proper loading and unloading of materials.
- Working environment: If the temperature is extremely high, the hoist might malfunction. Extremely low temperatures can cause cracking & freezing of internal parts.
- Lift height.
- Duty cycle: It indicates how long the hoist will be in use.
