Q. How are pneumatic handheld filter carts installed?

A.

• Attach one hose to the suction side of the pump (intake side) tightly using the JIC fitting.
• Connect another hose using the same tool to the discharge side.
• Hand-tighten spin-on filters to form a proper seal with the gasket around the filter and filter head.
• Place the suction hose into the container or machinery which needs to be emptied and / or filtered.
• Ensure that the suction hose is not impeded or blocked by internal components.
• Place the discharge hose into another opening in the machinery or container if transferring fluids.
• Fill the FRL reservoir to the proper level with SAE 10W high detergent or non-detergent motor oil. In the case of food processing applications, White Rex 425 food-grade motor oil is recommended.
• Adjust lubricator to feed 1 drop of oil for every 50 CFM of air while the unit is working or 1 drop of oil per continuous minute of run time for high speed / continuous duty usage.
• Connect the air supply to the filter cart FRL and clean the compressed air connection.
