Palmetto 1382 compression packing seal is suitable for protecting rotating pumps and valves from fluid leaks in chemical or abrasive slurry applications. It can also be cut and formed into individual rings to act as a seal in pumps or valves.

Features:

• It features an interwoven braid of ePTFE and graphite yarns to provide resistance against harsh chemicals and dissipate heat.
• It is capable of handling high temperatures (up to 550 deg F) and shaft speeds (up to 3800 fpm) and can exhibit a low coefficient of friction for reduced shaft wear.
• It is compatible with media in the pH range of 0 - 14 (excluding strong oxidisers in the 0 - 1 pH range, such as oleum, fluorine, fuming nitric acid and aqua regia).
