Q. What safety instructions must one be aware of while using MIP-3100 sealer?

A.

• Keep fingers away from areas that can pinch or cut (primarily the front of the unit).
• Remove the sealer and inspect the seal to ensure it is securely fastened to the strap.
• There should be two indentations (notches) on each side of the seal.
• The seal should be in the centre of the notches.
• The seal should be flush against the strapping, with both strapping ends completely through the seal. Remove the seal and start over if it is not properly formed.
• Attempting to reseal will result in a poor seal and reduction in break strength.
• Never break the strap with the sealer. If the strap is broken without the proper cutters, it may snap back toward the operator, causing serious injury or death. This action will also damage the sealer, necessitating its repair or replacement at the expense of the owner.
