Product Details:
Miller - Weldcraft WP-20 water cooled TIG (tungsten inert gas) torch is designed for general purpose welding applications, to direct the welding electrode into the arc and deliver welding current to the electrode. This TIG torch is used to weld thin sheets of non ferrous metals such as stainless steel, aluminium and copper. The powerful WP-20 torch comes in a small package providing cool operation for continuous welding up to 250A DCSP (direct current straight polarity). Besides ensuring consistent performance, it also guarantees long term trouble free service, minimum downtime & overheating prevention owing to around the head water cooling technology. The power cable, gas and water hoses are lightweight, small and flexible. Miller - Weldcraft WP-20 TIG torch has a rigid head with a straight barrel to provide easy access to confined spaces and a knurled handle with anti slip grip for better control of the torch.
Uses:
Miller - Weldcraft WP-20 TIG torch offers a wide combination of features, making it useful for welding, light / heavy manufacturing and maintenance & repair applications in the aerospace, dairy, petrochemical, precision fabrication, ship building, tube & pipe, and food & beverage industries.
Features:
- Miller - Weldcraft WP-20 water cooled TIG (tungsten inert gas) torch is well suited for general purpose welding applications in the aerospace, petrochemical, dairy, and food & beverage industries.
- It delivers cooling operation for consistent welding up to 250A DCSP.
- This TIG torch has an around the head cooling design which prevents overheating, thereby extending torch life & reducing downtime.
- Miller - Weldcraft WP-20 unit provides improved comfort and control, owing to its light weight & compact body configuration.
- This TIG torch minimises leakage of water and gas through safe mechanical connections and fittings.
Compatible Accessories:
- Miller - Weldcraft TIG torch rubber cables: These Miller - Weldcraft TIG torch rubber cables are designed for the brand's TIG torches to permit electricity flow from the welder to compatible torches.
- Miller - Weldcraft TIG torch cable covers: The brand's cable covers feature woven nylon construction and have a cowboy zipper jacket design for excellent abrasion and wear resistance.
Standards and Approvals:
Miller - Weldcraft WP-20 water cooled TIG torch body is CE approved to provide high quality services and utmost safety of the user.
Installation:
Miller - Weldcraft TIG torch welding process utilises cup, collet body, collet, backcap (including O-ring), torch body, handle, water hose, gas hose, power cable, power cable adapter, international style adapter and water hose for international style adapter to keep connections tight for secure & quick installation.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. What does the torch body do?
A. The TIG torch is a tool that the welder or user holds and manipulates to make the weld. It provides a valve and connection for the fuel gas & oxygen, a mixing chamber which is set at an angle where the oxygen and fuel gas mix, a handle for the welder to grasp, and a tip where the flame forms.
Q. What is the difference between MIG and TIG welding?
A. The difference between both is the style the arc utilises. The TIG welding process uses long rods to join two metals directly together. However, MIG (metal inert gas) welding uses a feed wire that enables constant movement through the gun for creating the spark, and then melts to form the weld.
Q. What are the different types of TIG torches?
A. The main types of TIG torches are water cooled and air cooled torches. Water cooled torches are ideal for welding above 200A at a high duty cycle, whereas air cooled torches are ideal for operation up to 250A.
