Features:

  • Lovejoy 68514456630 EC075 single beam coupling is a flexible one-piece rod with anodised aluminium finish for corrosion resistance and easy installation.
  • It connects two shafts together for power transmission and accurate positioning.
  • This unit has a spiral slot cut through the length of the tube, forming a spring centre design (known as beam / helical coil) for better adaptability.
  • It can accommodate parallel, angular & axial misalignments up to 5 degrees, as well as withstand extreme heat and chemicals.
  • The zero backlash design of this coupling promotes inherent reverse / start / stop usage.
  • This unit can operate both in counter clockwise and clockwise directions, even at 5 inch-lb rated torque.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. What is the difference between Lovejoy flexible & rigid couplings?

A. Lovejoy flexible couplings provide flexible connections between the shafts, accommodating minor misalignments with ease. On the other hand, rigid couplings connect two shafts firmly for transmitting maximum torque throughout the system. Rigid couplings cannot accommodate shaft misalignments.

Q. What is the difference between the set screw and clamp screw beam couplings?

A. In the former type, set screws press against the driven shaft to hold the set screw couplings under high torque. Clamp couplings, on the otherhand, come in one- and two-piece designs. In comparison to set screw couplings, they have more holding force without damaging the shaft.
