A. Kingston safety valves should be installed vertically to ensure that the valve body is self-draining and correct set pressure is achieved. Installing a safety valve in any position other than vertical or upright may adversely affect the performance and cause damage to internal parts.

A. The orifice diameter is the internal opening of the valve and is used to calculate the flow capacity of the valve. The inlet size, on the other hand, is the size / type of threads where the valve is attached. Kingston safety valves do not use a metric system and come in NPT (National Pipe Thread) inlet size.
