- 3642 Series close coupled pump providing flexible coupling and easy installation without any metal base
- Equipped with a high efficiency enclosed impeller and is mountable in both horizontal and vertical positions
- Volute-type, cast iron casing with back pullout design offers discharge rotation in eight positions and has tapped openings for priming, venting and draining
- Continuous-operation motor with radial / axial thrust load compatible ball bearings

Q. Can Goulds 2BF10712 be used for pumping out water softener discharge?
A. In most cases, the pump is not used for this since the high salt content of water softener discharge is very corrosive and will attack the seals, screws & motor shaft.
Q. Can Goulds Water Technology 2BF10712 pump pull water out of a pond, lake or river?
A. These centrifugal pumps can be used with any source of clean & fresh water. For pulling water from a lake / river / stream, professional contractors mostly install a large foot valve with a large screen area so that foreign objects (seaweed, fish, etc.) cannot be pulled in.
