Working Mechanism

  • Open the on / off air valve partially. The pump will automatically start running until it gets primed and hence stopped. Now, completely open the on / off air valve.
  • Hold the grease control valve close to a waste container and press the trigger. The pump will start releasing grease continuously as long as the trigger is pressed. When you release the trigger, the pump will stop. Check for any leaks from the connections and tighten them if necessary.
  • To apply grease, attach the coupler connected to the control valve extension to the greasing point (grease nipple) and press the trigger. When you release the trigger, the pump and air motor will stop dispensing grease.
  • Turn off the air supply to the pump when not in use or at the end of each day.

  • Mobil XHP 222 grease: This grease is compatible with Westward 5NUE3 grease pump and 3APE8 grease pump for increased lubricity, shear stability and thermal resistance. It is used in normal bearing applications. This grease has a 265 to 295 penetration range at 77 degrees F.
