Are these cable cutters suitable for cutting oversized wires?

These ratchet wire cutters cut thick cables. However, the cable should be cut only if it fits inside the cutter's jaws with some margin-left out. Cutting oversized cables over cutters capacity damages the blade jaws of the cutter.
