Working Mechanism
- These contactors work by using an electromagnet to open and close a set of normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) contacts.
- When energised, this electromagnet creates a magnetic field that attracts a movable armature, which in turn causes the contacts to close and let the current flow freely.
- When the electromagnet is de-energised, the electric field collapses and the armature is returned to its original position, causing the contacts to open and stop the current flow.
