Working Mechanism
- Eaton safety switches consist of a cartridge fuse installed in a fuse block inside the switch.
- The fuse contains a filament designed to melt when an overcurrent or short circuit occurs.
- As the current rises abruptly, the temperature in the cartridge fuse increases and causes the filament to melt, thus interrupting the flow of electricity to the circuit and triggering the switch to open.
- This process completely disconnects the circuit from the power source.
