Working Mechanism

  • When the attached compressor attains the unload (cut-out) pressure, the pilot valve installed with these throttle controls sends a pneumatic signal to the air throttle control for actuating & extending to decrease the engine speed.
  • When the compressed air is used & the compressor obtains the load (cut-in) pressure, the pneumatic signal from the pilot valve retracts the throttle control to let the engine go back to its normal operating speed.

  • Conrader cable-style throttle controls are installed on the pilot valve or other locations on the compressor while their cable end is attached to the engine throttle arm.
  • They have brass construction with stainless steel springs, Viton seals & a stainless steel cable that is permanently lubricated & self-cleaning.
  • Users should use routing clamps to securely mount the cable.
  • Conrader airline-style throttle controls are installed on the engine and attached to its throttle. The control's airline tube is positioned between the pilot valve & the throttle control.
  • They have brass construction with stainless steel springs, Viton seals, a stainless steel wire rod & plated steel brackets.
  • Selected models act as Honda air compressor throttle controls to regulate speeds of 5.5 to 13 hp Honda engines. Conrador TCXLIW-CH440 throttle control is suitable for use in 14 hp Kohler engines.
  • Conrador TCSA-5565S-SC throttle control is suitable for use in Honda GX390 engine. This Honda GX390 throttle control has a stroke length of 0.40 inches.
