Air Powered Scarifier

Aurand air-powered scarifiers are designed to remove rust, epoxy and paint from metal and concrete surfaces without sandblasting in marine, automobile, construction and manufacturing industries. The small and lightweight K-Series Aurand scarifiers are suitable for handwork and light applications, and the brand's M-Series scarifiers are heavy-duty tools suitable for floor or surface preparations. They are available in 3/4 and 2-1/2 hp variants featuring an ergonomic straight / D- handle for easy handling and movement. These powerful scarifiers are capable of cleaning up to 100 sq. ft. area per hour.

Working Mechanism

  • Aurand scarifiers use multi-tooth cutting wheels (flails) located on the cutter bundles to rotate at high speeds.
  • They chip away materials aggressively, with great control.

Features

  • Aurand deck air motor scarifiers come with an ergonomic straight / D-handle for easy handling and movement.
  • The small & lightweight K-Series and heavy-duty M-Series tools are suitable for floor or surface preparation.
  • They are available in 3/4 and 2-1/2 hp torque variants.
  • These units require pressure ranging from 80 to 100 psi.
  • K-Series models have a palm grip handle located at the head for precise control and directing the cutter bundles along small surfaces & into hard-to-reach areas. They can easily fit between surfaces or into corners.
  • M-Series surface scalers come with D-handles for a secure & enclosed grip to roll the cutter bundles on walls & floors.
  • These scarifiers are equipped with rotary type air motors, making them free from pistons, toggles or reciprocating parts, to reduce vibration.
  • Selected models (such as MP6E) have a 48-inch, detachable aluminium handle for permitting a single user to operate with ease over large areas.
  • The scalers have vacuum guards for dust collection.

Compatible Accessories

  • Aurand Cutter Bundles: These cutters can be easily replaced by users for specific requirements of the scarifier.
  • Aurand Wire Brushes: They are designed for light scaling and clean-up applications.
