Does thread gauge check minor diameter?

A threaded part's maximum minor & pitch diameter are measured using a Go thread ring gauge. The minimum pitch diameter on a threaded part must not be exceeded, according to the No-Go thread ring gauge.

What safety precautions should be taken while using thread measuring gauges?

Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures while storing thread gauges. Avoid thread gauges becoming rusty or dirty. Lubricate thread gauges timely and adequately. Keep track of the accuracy of thread measuring gauges.
