Thickness gages are used to determine the thickness or gage of metals, plastics, woods or small instruments and are ideal for use in mechanical and industrial engineering applications. Dial thickness gages have a jaw which features steel measuring contact pins and a handle & lever. The item to be measured is inserted between the contact pins and the lever is released, with the pins closing over the surface and measuring the thickness of the material. Mitutoyo thickness gages are designed for quick and efficient measurement of small dimensions. These thickness gages feature an ergonomic grip handle which reduces user fatigue and spring loaded plunger which makes the instrument easy to use.
