Plug Valve

Val-matic plug valves are designed for use with screened sewage, potable / raw water and nonabrasive slurries in irrigation, burial services and vertical up / down flow systems. The shaft and seal system of these Val-Matic plug valves features packing overload protection (POP) to prevent over-tightening of the packing material and extending packing life. These valves are lever operated and comprise vee-type packing that is replaceable and field adjustable. They are capable of withstanding pressure up to 175 psi and comply with ASTM A126 Class B standards. Choose from a wide range of Val-Matic plug valves, available in FNPT and flanged connections on Raptor Supplies.

Plug Valves

Plug valves are designed with cylindrical or tapered plugs which rotate inside the valve body and allow the fluid to pass through the hollow channels going sideways through the plug. Raptor Supplies offers a wide array of Anderson Metals, Eaton, Parker, Rubberfab, Val-Matic and Weatherhead plug ports. Val-Matic plug valves are made of rugged cast iron with a welded nickel seat and permanently lubricated bearings to reduce friction and failure of the plug. These valves feature a shaft and seal system providing packing overload protection (POP) while preventing over-tightening and extending the bearing life during field adjustments. They also offer positive shut-off, wear-resistance and a smooth streamline flow to allow passage of large solid particles without clogging. Parker plug valves feature high flow capacities and a quarter-turn operation in a compact design withstanding pressures up to 3000 PSI. These units feature Nitrile / fluorocarbon / ethylene propylene (EPR & EPDM) rubber seats and seals for media compatibility and operating smoothly in different temperature ranges. They are available in A-LOK (R) and CPI (R) connection options with no distortion on installation.
