Hydrometers

Durac Safety combined form hydrometers measure temperature and relative density of liquids compared to water in food & beverage, chemical, pharmacology, transportation and refrigeration industries. They have lead free ballast and glass construction with mercury-free blue spirit organic liquid for accurate measurements. These hydrometers measure temperature in the range of 0 to 150 degrees F or from 0 to 50 degrees C and feature 3 different types of scales for measuring relative densities. A specific gravity scale measures the relative density of liquids compared to the density of water, whereas an API hydrometer measures the specific gravity of petroleum products and a sugar or Brix hydrometer determine sucrose content in a liquid solution.

Durac alcohol-proof hydrometers determine the presence of ethyl alcohol spirits (with an accuracy of maximum +/-0.4 per cent) during distilling & rectifying procedures. These units feature lead-free ballast and glass construction to counteract buoyancy & provide stability, respectively. They are individually sterilized and can withstand a standard temperature of 60 degrees F. These units are hand inspected by the US quality team and are compliant with the NIST standards. Durac specific gravity hydrometers measure the density and specific gravity of petroleum products and other heavy liquids. These hydrometers are made of lead-free ballast and glass to counteract buoyancy and facilitate easy visibility. They are individually sterlised and can withstand temperatures up to 60 degrees F; ideal for food & beverage, pharmacology, chemistry, refrigeration and transportation applications. These units conform to ASTM standards and are available in API, calcium chloride, Sal Brine, alcohol proof %, density and other scales to measure in different degree temperatures with a maximum accuracy of +/- 1 per cent.

Durac hydrometers have convenient built-in thermometers to measure the relative density i.e. the specific gravity of petroleum and oil-related products in temperatures up to 158 degrees F. They feature lead-free ballast having glass construction for visualising accurate measurements and are ideal for chemical, food & beverage, transportation, pharmacology & refrigeration applications. Durac dual scale hydrometers measure the relative density compared to water and degrees of Baume of liquids in food & beverage, chemical, pharmacology, transportation and refrigeration industries. They have lead free metal ballast and glass construction for corrosion resistance and durability. These dual scale hydrometers have both specific gravity and Baume scale for accuracy in measurements. Specific gravity scales measure the relative density of liquids compared to water, whereas the Baume scales have separate scales to measure degrees of Baume for liquids, heavier or lighter than water. Choose from a wide array of these hydrometers for measuring specific gravity ranging from 0.69 to 2 at a standardised temperature of 60 degrees F.
