Bus plugs can be connected to a busbar or a busway providing local power distribution to electronic equipment. Available in ampere ratings ranging from 15 to 600 A, these products protect and feed power to industrial facilities and data centres where motor load locations are changed frequently. General Electric bus plugs come equipped with a large housing enclosure with NEMA 1 rated design for preventing the ingress of contaminants and are compatible for use with GE Spectra Series busways. These UL-listed units can protect the electrical equipment against surge current ratings up to 200 A and feature 3 poles with earthing to transfer the current and provide personal protection. They are available in voltage ratings of 240 and 480/600 V with fusible and non-fusible options. Square D busway plug-in units are three-phase power distributors used with Square D I-line and I-line 2 busway systems and with H, K and R fuses or circuit breakers for preventing surge or overcurrent conditions.
