Bench vises are designed to hold workpieces and parts in place during filing, hammering, drilling and sawing. These bench vises are made from drop-forged cast iron / steel having tensile strengths up to 75000 psi and feature hardened steel jaws with an extra-deep throat for increased work area. Selected models have a swiveling base with double lock-down bolts and a large anvil for allowing precise positioning of objects with increments as little as 1 degree. Raptor Supplies offers an array of bench vises from brands like Westward, Wilton, Ridgid and Palmgren. Wilton combination pipe and bench vises feature a round-channel design, with a vise nut anchored at the rear to provide straight-line pull and clamping forces up to 30000 psi. These vises feature a completely enclosed spindle and nut assembly which prevents the entry of debris, ensuring a long life for lubricants. We also offer rotating bench vises from Palmgren that can rotate the head and swivel the base up to 360 degrees, locking workpieces at an interval of 45 degrees. This allows the vise jaws to be configured as pipe- and V-jaws for gripping pipes or other round objects. They come equipped with a trapezoidal-lead thread screw to withstand excessive loads and bolt-lugs on the base for secure mounting.
