• This plate clamp is used mostly on steel sheets. It is not designed for stainless steel or aluminium plates.
• The sheet / plate must weigh at least the minimum uniform plate weight (MUPW) of the clamp. This Vestil EPC-10 plate clamp having 1000 lb capacity has a MUPW of 200 lb.
• The plate being lifted must be clean and free of oil.
• Lifting plates / sheets of the same thickness can cause wear in a specific region of the clamp gripper. Replace the clamp if required.

Q. What are the lifting rules to follow while operating this plate clamp?

• Users should not lift any material over themselves or other people working nearby. Clear the area and move the workers away before moving the loads.
• They should stabilise the loads while raising, lowering or moving them by standing at arm's length to the side of the material and holding the attached hoist hook or clamp bale.
