Features:

• Humboldt H-1200 universal penetrometer is equipped with a 5-inch diameter dial indicator having 400 divisions of 0.1 mm for a maximum of 40 mm penetration in one revolution of the dial.
• This dial indicator can be preset to zero to eliminate errors.
• The universal penetrometer also comes with a 47.5 g plunger having a 3.2 mm hole and two loading weights of 50 g & 100 g.

Q. How to install this universal penetrometer?

A.

• Level the unit carefully using levelling screws present on the base and maintain proper alignment using a spirit level.
• Attach a suitable penetrating needle / cone into the unit's chuck.
• Set the zero reference. Use the zero setting screw if required. Release the clutch trigger by holding the gear rack knob & pulling it up. Raise the test plunger to its maximum height after the trigger is released.
