Product Details:
Eaton FT1341 hydraulic thread identification kit is used in hydraulic systems for measuring the outside & inside diameter, identifying thread standard & pitch and determining the seat angle of a port or connection. This gauge port & connector identification kit contains a thread pitch gauge, a small slide calliper and a printed manual for port & connection identification and mating threaded parts or connections.
Features:
- Eaton FT1341 hydraulic thread identification kit's caliper has slide operation with both inch and millimeter for easy identification.
- The caliper includes a specialized angle gauge with outer diameter (OD) jaws angled at 37 & 45 degrees and internal diameter (ID) jaws angled at 30 & 12 degrees.
- The thread pitch gauge can measure the pitch of both SAE and Metric threads.
- Both of these tools are compatible with both male & female connections.
- It comes with a carrying case for easy & convenient storage.
Compatible Accessories:
- Eaton TA-1004 Weatherhead Metric Thread ID Kit: These thread ID kits work with this Eaton FT1341 gauge port & connector identification kit to measure the internal diameters (Metric) of connector threads.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. How to measure thread sizes using this hydraulic thread identification kit?
A. Users can place the kit's thread pitch gauge on the threads until proper fit to measure the number of threads per inch (in SAE) or the distance between threads (in metric connections). Then the measurements are matched to the charts for final specification data. The thread diameter is measured using the calliper. The jaws of the calliper can be moved according to the connector or port size for accurate measurement.
Q. How to measure sealing surface angles using this Eaton FT1341 hydraulic thread identification kit?
A.
- Sealing surface angles of female connections can be measured by inserting & placing the calliper's angle gauge on the connection's sealing surface. When the centerlines of both connection and angle gauge are parallel to each other, users can determine the correct angle measurement.
- Sealing surface angles of male flare-type connectors are generally measured by placing the gauge on the outer sealing surface. The correct angle is considered determined when the centerlines of both the connection and the angle gauge become parallel.
