Dorian TPBN08-2 boring bar is a single-pointed cutting tool that uses inserts for sizing, roughing and finishing the inside of drilled or cast holes. It can be easily mounted to a lathe or turning machine and remain stationary while the machine rotates the workpiece against the cutting tip.
Features:
- It utilises inserts (TPGH & TPGB) that can work on small-sized holes with a minimum bore diameter of 0.59 inches.
- It has a positive rake to allow fast material removal and permit clean finishing.
- The inserts come with a chip breaker for improving chip control and reducing cutting resistance. They are TiN coated to reduce friction and offer excellent wear resistance.
- The bar features advanced precision chip clearance that allows maximum boring capacity.
