Aquasol ABLD-20 inflatable purge bladder seals two sides of a pipe on each side of a weld to fill the space with the least amount of purge gas & ensure quality welding while saving time & money. This I-Purge modular inflatable bladder system comes with quick-connect fittings that allow easy assembly & disassembly by just snapping-in place. It is suitable for use in metalworking & fabrication shops and is ideal for pipes having a maximum diameter of 20 inches.

Features:

• Aquasol ABLD-20 inflatable purge bladder system has inflatable bladders modules A & B to block both sides of a pipe by filling up with air.
• This reusable inflatable bladder is heat & spark resistant due to its polyurethane-coated nylon exterior bag.
• The bladder also comes with an extended length, high heat-resistant harness having a protective external fiberglass sleeve for placing the bladder modules outside the heat-affected zone. This flexible bridge harness can be easily directed through pipes, elbows and tees over 90 degrees without suffering any kink.
• It further features a factory pre-set relief valve for precise flow rates, minimal set-up time & reduced gas consumption while preventing the risk of over inflation.
• This system has an inert gas diffuser for dispersing inert gas equally in all directions within the weld zone and reducing turbulence.

A. Pipe is purged using a purge gas (inert gas) before TIG welding pipes made of stainless steel, aluminium or other corrosion-resistant materials to avoid their oxidation / corrosion while improving weld quality.

Q. What is the maximum temperature allowed for this Aquasol ABLD-20 inflatable purge bladder?

A. The inflatable bladder's outside material can handle a maximum temperature of 400 degrees F (205 degrees C). However, the bladder's inside material has a lower heat resistance to handle a maximum temperature of 250 degrees F (120 degrees C).
