- Open the valve completely.

- Drill the hot tap hole.
- Close the hot tap valve.
- Remove the hot tapping drilling equipment.
What are the safety precautions to follow before installing inflatable pipe plugs?
- Stay out of area that is in-lined with plug ends during use.
- Do not use flushers or standard plugs with chemicals that may attack nylon / nitrile / polyurethane, or at temperatures over 180 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Inspect the product before and after each use.
- Insert plugs completely into the pipeline.
- Make sure to always position the plug where there are no protrusions or sharp edges.
- Before installing under water, it may be mandatory to first inflate the plug slightly.
