Working Mechanism

  • The switch is turned to the on position after the key is inserted into it. That notifies the machine's control system that the safety interlock switch is engaged.
  • The control system will let the machine run after the safety interlock switch is activated. The safety interlock switch will disengage & the control system will shut down the machine, though, if the key is taken out.
  • The key may be withdrawn only when the machine is in a safe condition, such as when it is not in motion or when the hazardous area is sealed off.
