EATON Danfoss SPC1-16 Series Check Valves
Eaton Danfoss SPC1-16 Series check valves allow flow of a variety of mediums, such as hydraulic oil, water and steam in one direction while preventing backflow. They are compatible with fluids, including mineral oils, petroleum and SAE 10-rated lubricating oils with the recommended filtration l...evel of 18/16/13, ideal for use in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Read more

Working Mechanism
- The working mechanism of these check valves is based on a spring-loaded poppet device.
- When the fluid flows in the desired direction, it pushes the poppet valve open, allowing the fluid to pass through.
- As the pressure decreases, the flow tries to move in the opposite direction or stops.
- This causes the spring in the check valve to compress and seal the poppet valve, thus preventing the flow of fluid.
Features
- They feature a pilot-operated mechanism that allows the free flow of the medium from the inlet port through the outlet port.
- They consist of a poppet which restricts or permits flow in the system and Buna-N seals for resistance to oils, chemicals and elevated temperatures.
- They are made of aluminium to offer durability and corrosion resistance and can withstand temperatures ranging between -40 and 120 degrees Celsius.
Frequently Asked Questions
In what direction should I install my check valve?
Horizontal line is preferred when installing a check valve as it minimises the chances of backflow due to pressure drop.
Why is filtration needed in check valves?
Filtered fluid reduces the risk of clogging the control valve, ensuring a smooth flow of fluid and maintaining constant valve performance.
What is the difference between a direct-acting and a pilot-operated control valve?
Direct-acting control valves prevent over-pressure in a hydraulic system, while pilot-operated control valves regulate and maintain the pressure of the system to prevent damage.
