Working Mechanism
- They use a spool that moves within a bore to regulate fluid pressure.
- The spool has lands and grooves that interact with the valve body to control fluid flow.
- The position of the spool is determined by a spring or pilot pressure, which moves the spool in response to changes in pressure and flow.
- As the spool moves, it allows more or less fluid to pass through the valve, regulating the pressure in the hydraulic system.
Features
- Eaton Danfoss PRV2-16 Series pressure control valves have a pressure rating of 350 bar and can handle flow rates up to 114 litres per minute.
- They have three valve ports to connect to three different pipes at the same time.
- These pilot-operated valves feature steel construction and can withstand temperatures ranging from -40 to 120 degrees C.
- They are equipped with Buna-N seals to minimise leaks.
Compatible Accessories
- Eaton 565811 Seal Kit: This kit benefits users in changing the leaking seals to ensure the efficient operation of valves.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between pressure control valves and pressure relief valves?
Pressure control valves maintain constant pressure in hydraulic systems, whereas pressure relief valves bleed out excess pressure from the system.
Are these valves fixed or adjustable?
Eaton PRV2-16 Series pressure control valves can be adjusted to a desired pressure.
What is the difference between a direct-acting and a pilot-operated pressure control valve?
A direct-acting pressure control valve operates using a spring-loaded piston, while a pilot-operated pressure control valve uses a separate pilot valve to control the pressure.
