Working Mechanism

  • Eaton C441 Series motor protection relays continuously monitor the electrical parameters like current, voltage & phase balance in a circuit.
  • The relays trip on detecting a fault condition and open the electrical contacts to interrupt the power supply to the circuit & protect it from damage.
  • After the relay is tripped, it displays a fault code or indication on the front display panel or through a set of status contacts, helping technicians to diagnose the cause of the fault and correct the issue.
  • After the fault is cleared and the relay is reset, the relay again restores power to the circuit for normal operation.

Features

  • Eaton C441 Series motor protection relays calculate power and monitor motor performance, load performance & energy consumption for system critical loads & pump loads.
  • The monitoring capabilities include average current & phase RMS, average voltage & phase RMS, motor power (kW), power factor, frequency, thermal capacity, run hours, ground fault current, current / voltage unbalance percentage and the time before restarting.
  • They further feature programmable reset / backspin timers, a lockable user interface, scaled current readings, individual trip delays and communication protocols like Modbus, DeviceNet & PROFIBUS.
  • These relays have IP20 recessed terminals for safe connections and an LED display that remains bright even in low temperatures.
  • Their displays have an enclosed assembly for enhanced safety. Selected models can also be connected to a remote display.
