Working Mechanism
- When the brake pedal is pressed, hydraulic fluid is sent from the master cylinder to the brake callipers. These callipers contain pistons (sealed cylinders) that move outward when pressurised.
- As the pistons move out, they push against the brake pads.
- This pushing action causes them to press against the rotors and create friction that slows the vehicle down.
