Working Mechanism

  • Energise the control circuit to close the contactor and supply the power to the motor.
  • A large amount of current (inrush current) flows through the starter to start motor rotation.
  • After the motor achieves its normal operating speed, the current decreases & the starter handles it without tripping.
  • Stop the motor by de-energising the control circuit & opening the contactor.
