General Purpose Motors, 1/2 Hp Power Output, ODP Enclosure

Dayton general purpose motors are used with compressors, fans, conveyors, pumps, material handling and machine tools. These units feature open drip-proof (ODP) enclosures that have ventilated openings to allow inflow directly over the motor windings to dissipate heat due to continuous operation. They include shaft slingers for sealing shaft bearings against dust and other contaminants while retaining lubrication. These motors have steel construction with 3-phase motor design to operate with higher torque and greater efficiency as compared to single-phase models having the same power outputs (hp), speeds (rpm) and frame sizes. Choose from a wide range of these general-purpose AC motors, available in horizontal & all angle mounting positions.
