Apollo PowerPress Series gas male adapters are press systems designed for use with schedule 10 through 40 thick wall steel pipes in sizes ranging from 1/2 to 2 inches. They have a zinc-nickel coating to prevent corrosion and are equipped with either an EPDM or HNBR sealing element for waterproof operations. These adapters feature a patented & colour-coded visual control ring (VCR) for a clear indication when a connection has been properly pressed. These visual control rings let the user identify un-pressed connections and ensure that the pipes are optimally positioned during pressing. They are compatible with 10 and 40-thick wall steel pipes having black steel / galvanised steel / epoxy-coated steel construction in accordance with ASTM A53, A106, A135 and A795 standards. These male adapters have a maximum operating pressure of 230 psi and operate at temperatures ranging from -40 to 302 degrees F while using an EPDM sealing element. When using an HNBR sealing element, the maximum operating pressure is 150 psi and the operating temperature ranges from -40 to 194 degrees F.
