Parker needle valves permit precise regulation of flow, usually gas or water, through an appliance or system. These valves feature a small port and threaded, needle-shaped plunger, allowing a minimal amount of substance to pass through the valve.

Features
- These valves are designed for safe isolation and controlling the flow to pressure metering devices, such as gauges, transmitters or switches.
- They feature a self-centring, non-rotating stem tip for a bubble-tight shutoff and anti-blowout low torque.
- They come integrated with a gland lock nut that maintains a secure connection with limited vibrations.
- They are ideal for skids, water treatment, chemical injection skids, gas booster systems, pressure & flow measurement and test equipment.
- Models, such as MV-13 Series needle valves, utilise a high purity PFA body that makes them ideal for aggressive chemical and gas applications. They also come with stem sealing for a smooth and consistent flow.
Working Mechanism
- The needle valve's plunger has a tapered end that raises or lowers with the spin of a T-handle to open / close an orifice.
- The handle is connected to the plunger with the help of a stem. A locking nut is provided to prevent the plunger from fully unscrewing when the handle is turned.
- As the plunger moves down, the pointed end comes into contact with the valve seat to fully seal the orifice and allows for accurate flow rate control.
