GRAINGER O-Rings

Filter

Grainger O-rings block fluid inside the valve and prevent fugitive emissions. These rings are squeezed between two metal surfaces to create a tight seal between mating surfaces, preventing leaks of fluids or gases in hydraulic systems, pumps, engines or plumbing fixtures.

O-Rings

Dayton O-rings facilitate mechanical sealing to resist wear and allow a certain amount of dampening to cushion the valves against thermal, frictional and impact stress. These synthetic rubber loops feature a round cross-section design for a snug fit. They are further compressed during assembly to provide zero clearance and are impermeable as well as resistant to degradation caused by fluids.

Features

  • The brand's faucet washers, O-rings and hardware create a seal between the parts of the faucet to stop leakage. Parts of a faucet are connected to a plumbing line or mounting surface by faucet hardware. These O-rings and hardware repair worn parts that leak or can't keep faucets in place.
  • Grainger O-rings have a durometer rating of 75 Shore A for a balance between flexibility and resistance to deformation under pressure. They can withstand temperatures ranging from -15 to 400 degrees F. These O-rings offer a nominal width of 3/32 inches for precise sealing fit. They feature Viton construction for chemical resistance and high-temperature tolerance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between round-profile O-rings and square cross-section O-rings?

Round-profile O-rings have a circular cross-section, while square cross-section O-rings have a rectangular cross-section. Square cross-section O-rings offer a larger continuous sealing surface, making them suitable for tighter seals in static applications such as hose, pipe and faucet connections.

What are the factors to consider while selecting suitable Grainger O-rings for my application?

Factors to consider while choosing O-rings are nominal inside diameter, nominal width and nominal outside diameter. You should measure the dimensions of the groove or mating surfaces where the O-ring will be installed and select the size that matches those measurements closely.
