Benchmark Scientific Vornado Series miniature vortexers have a fixed 4 mm orbit and a fixed speed of 2400 rpm. They are ideal for mixing samples in sampling tubes and incorporate touch-operated motors that automatically turn on with a slight pressure on the centre cup head. Their unique head design limits liquids from entering the housing. These units are ideal for use in medical laboratories and chemical & pharmaceutical applications.

They come with a powder-coated finish to withstand temperatures ranging from 3 to 50 degrees C. The standard units are capable of accommodating 6 bottles or jars, and can rotate unbalanced and balanced weights up to 10 lb and 50 lb, respectively. Selected models come equipped with a 1.5 hp TEFC capacitor-start motor with an automatic reset thermal protection facility to prevent motor overloading.
