Cylinder Position Sensors
Pneumatic cylinder position sensors are mounted externally on cylinders to sense the piston position of cylinders. These sensors are ideal for use with machine tools and packaging machinery. They are available in various types, such as NPN, PNP, reed and solid-state switches. Raptor Supplies offers a wide variety of pneumatic cylinder position sensors from brands like Destaco, Speedaire and Miller Fluid Power. ALS Series solid-state switches from Miller Fluid Power are designed to detect a change in polarity of the magnetic field and operate at a maximum piston speed of 0.5 m/sec. These sensors feature two LED indicators (red and yellow) to indicate whether the piston is inside or outside the switching zone. Destaco position sensors are IP67 rated to offer resistance against water & dust, and feature an LED screen.
