McKinney continuous geared piano hinges are ideal for wood, aluminium and hollow metal doors and frames. These hinges consist of two geared sections with a continuous cap concealing the gears and wear surfaces, which helps doors swing evenly from top to bottom and eliminates lateral wear and door snag. The hinges are made using extruded aluminium alloy and do not require mortising as the leaves easily fit on the edge or face of doors.
The company also offers combination strike and stops suitable for bathroom doors in medical facilities. These emergency stops allow doors to open in both directions without damaging the frame and are compatible with cylindrical / bored locks. They are available in centre or offset hung latch bolt location variants for use with frame sizes of 5-3/4, 5-7/8 and 6-3/4 inches.
